Get ready to raise your glasses because our highly anticipated Sashay Rosé is officially bottled and back, just in time to make your summer extraordinary! Crafted from luscious Syrah grapes, this dazzling rosé promises to elevate every moment with its vibrant charm and refreshing taste.

What is Rosé?

Rosé is a type of wine that embodies the freshness of white wine while carrying some of the flavor complexity of red wine. It is made from red grapes but has a shorter maceration with the grape skins, giving it a beautiful pink hue without the heavier tannins of red wine, and is normally served chilled. The result is a refreshing, crisp, and versatile wine that pairs beautifully with various foods or can be enjoyed independently.

Sashay Rosé is more than just a wine; it celebrates strength, confidence, and elegance. In 2016, Shae Frichette, Co-owner and Co-winemaker at Frichette Winery was inspired to create a label that embodied her essence. Growing up in South Carolina, Shae was surrounded by women who sashayed into rooms with pride and confidence, leaving a lasting impression.

A pivotal moment came when Shae attended the Celebration of Black Women in Wine, where she was reminded of the incredible strength and resilience of the women in her community. This inspiration led to the birth of Sashay Wines, starting with a rosé and a red wine that would capture the spirit of these remarkable women.

Today, Sashay Wines proudly offers two exquisite selections: the Sashay Rosé of Syrah and a bold Syrah from the Red Mountain AVA. This is the first time Sashay Rosé has been made with Syrah grapes, resulting in a dry wine that bursts with flavors of berries, watermelon, and a hint of citrus, perfectly balanced with refreshing acidity. The rosé is rested in neutral oak for a few months before bottling to add a beautiful texture on the palate.

The origin story here is what stuck with me — it’s cool seeing a rosé tied to something bigger than just “poolside season.” I’d love to know if this year’s Sashay Rosé is aiming for super-crisp and dry, or a slightly rounder/fruity style (I’m always surprised how different Syrah rosés can be). Total tangent, but the whole “confidence/elegance” theme reminded me of playing with new looks on https://stylelooklab.com/hairstyleai — sometimes a small change really does shift your mood in a good way.

Syrah as a rosé base is such a smart move — you still get some real fruit character without it turning heavy. Now I’m curious what your tasting notes are on this bottling (strawberry? watermelon? more citrus?) and what you’d pair it with besides the usual summer stuff. Also, the whole “sashay” concept made me think about how visuals shape expectations — I messed around on https://imgg.ai recently and it reminded me how much a label’s vibe can set the mood before you even pour.

I like how you explained rosé as kind of the “best of both worlds” between white and red — that’s exactly why it’s my go-to once the weather warms up. The backstory behind Sashay Rosé feels really personal too, and it makes the label idea land more than just “summer wine.” Random aside: I was doing a totally unrelated unit conversion earlier on this site and it made me think about how much little details matter, kind of like dialing in the skin contact on a rosé.

Summer just didn't feel complete without it. Grabbing a chilled bottle and gathering with friends is the ultimate reset. Crafting the perfect weekend vibe with this wine is just as fun as customizing avatars on Mii Maker

I like using fantasy naming tools for social usernames, and this star wars name generator gave me a cool futuristic handle that wasn’t already taken everywhere.
